Felix Annan has been dropped by Ghana’s coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.
The Asante Kotoko shot-stopper was handed a starting role last month when the Black Stars played against his club, Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi after FIFA cancelled the AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Sierra Leone.
The former West African Football Academy SC loanee impressed in his first outing for the senior national where Black Stars defeated the Porcupine Warriors 3-0 and several Ghanaians thought he will be maintained in the roster for this month's assignment.
Annan is part of Asante Kotoko's 28-man squad currently preparing ahead of the CAF Confederations Cup.
