AFCON 2019: Jamilu Collins To Feature Against Cameroon

Collins Feature Against Cameroon

Jamilu Collins could possibly make his first appearance for the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt in Saturday’s second round fixture against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The Super Eagles defender is yet to make an appearance for Nigeria in the competition owing to an injury he sustained in training ahead of the first Group B game against Burundi.

The SC Paderborn of Germany left-back, however, resumed full training with his teammates earlier this week and will possibly feature against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in today’s clash at the Alexandria Stadium.

“I’m fully fit now. The injury forced me to miss all our three group matches,” Collins told Completesports in Alexandria.

“The Africa Cup of Nations is the biggest football competition in the continent and I can’t wait to play my first game for the Super Eagles here in Egypt.”
