The Super Eagles will tomorrow Saturday, July 6, square up to Cameroon in a round of 16 fixtures in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations and the coach of the Nigerian side, Gernot Roh has hinted on his starting lineup.
The lions and the Eagles were only able to finish second places in their respective Group games.
Ever since Nigeria was crowned champions of Africa in 2013, this AFCON 2019 in Egypt is the first time the Eagles will be qualifying for the Mundial, all thanks to the German coach.
All the group games played by the three-time African champions have been terrible, to say the least. A struggled 1-0 win in the first game with debutant Burundi, another hard fought 1-0 win against Guinea in their second fixture, and a totally embarrassing 2-0 loss against another tournament debutant Madagascar.
Rohr has come up to state that the Eagles are better prepared against Cameroon and hinted that the likes of Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon would feature in tomorrow's game.
Daniel Akpeyi gets the nod of the coach as well in goal. The goalie has kept clean sheets in the opening two group matches for Nigeria.
