Aguero Set For Barcelona Medical After Champions League Final

One of the key facets of this summer transfer window under Barcelona’s new president Joan Laporta seems to be the signing of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

According to Roger Terello of Mundo Deportivo, Aguero’s signing is not fully closed yet contrary to many reports that broke out yesterday.

However, the deal is ‘80% done’ but there are a few minor but important details left to be ironed out.

The report outlines that Barcelona and Manchester City will try to work out the details and seal the move after the Champions League final on the 29th of May.

The newly crowned Premier League champions will face Chelsea in Portugal for the final.

Barcelona will hope to resume proceedings after all of Aguero’s commitments with his current club are over.

The idea is for the 32-year old striker to undergo his medical tests and sign the rumoured two-year contract as soon as the 31st of May.

If the logistics don’t work out in time, he will be signed after the Copa America.

But if things go to plan, Aguero would be announced as a Barcelona player in the first days of June.
