Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa have been included in ‘The 50 worst players in Premier League history’ by FourFourTwo.
Musa, who occupies number 44 on the list, joined Leicester City in 2016 and scored five goals in 33 games in two seasons.
The soccer website stated, “In the glow of their Premier League-winning season, Leicester broke their transfer record to bring Musa to England for £16.6m from CSKA Moscow.
“The Nigerian forward has always been an unremarkable and patchy player, who most importantly, didn’t have a natural place in the Foxes side. At no point in his 18 months at the King Power Stadium (33 games, five goals) did Musa’s transfer ever look likely to be remotely successful.”
The list also has Nigeria’s Ade Akinbiyi who featured for Leicester City between 2000 and 2002 after scoring 11 goals in 58 appearances for the club.
Akinbiyi played for quite a number of clubs in England including Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Burnley, Sheffield and a host of others.
Other names on the list are Sebastien Squillaci, Yaya Sanogo, Radamel Falcao, Senegal’s Salif Diao and Bolton Wanderers striker Mario Jardel.
