Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was pictured in training today with Kano Pillars FC as the Nigeria Professional Football League season (NPFL) leaders prepare for the resumption of the second stanza.
The 28-year-old completed his move to Caliphate side on Tuesday 13th April 2021.
Musa, who has been a free agent since October 2020 when he left Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, has agreed to play for free for the Kano State football club for the remainder of the 2020/21 NPFL.
Speaking on the move, the former Leicester forward, who is a free agent since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in October, told BBC Sport Africa:
“Anything that improves the image of Nigerian football is something that I strive to embark on and Kano Pillars holds a special place in my heart.
“It’s the team that helped me become the professional footballer I am today, so this is more than just football but a very strong bond.”
