Nigerian International, Akor Adams, after scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances in his debut season for the Birds, has upped the ante in his second season at the club.
He now has 18 goals in 19 games across all competitions, with 15 coming in 14 Eliteserien matches; which has placed him at the top of the goalscorers log in the Norwegian top-flight.
His brace against Sandefjord a few days ago took him to the top of the scorers chart, and he added another goal to extend his scoring streak to three games, coveting the top scorer's spot for himself ahead of Bodo/Glimt's Amahl Pellegrino.
Lillestrøm vs Aalesund: As it happened
Playing at home, Lillestrøm controlled much of the early proceedings, but shockingly against the run of play, Aalesund put their noses in front as Ghanaian international Isaac Atanga scored in the 11th minute
With Aalesund surprisingly in front, and dreaming to snatch a valuable point, Amidou Diop recklessly takes a karate kick on Lehne Olsen to get himself sent off, reducing the away side to 10 men.
Lillestrøm who're already dominating the game now have a numerical advantage and it didn't take long to make that count. Yildren Ibrahimaj with a cannonball shot right in the crossbar to make it 1-1 in the 29th minute.
In the 41st minute, a beautifully struck corner was floated in by Åsen that Vetle Skjaervik stuck into the net to make it 2-1 as Lillestrøm went into the break on top.
In the second half, Aalesund tried to defend and avoid conceding more goals but Lillestrøm and Akor Adams were having none of that!
The Eliteserien leading goalscorer, Akor Adams got himself in the scoresheet in the 55th minute to take his tally for the league season to 15 goals in 14 matches, leaving Amahl Pellegrino rooted in second spot in the top scorers chart.

A brace from Thomas Lehne Olsen as the second half was winding down further inflicted misery on the visitors, who endured a grueling 5-1 loss to the home side.
The result leaves Akor Adam's Lillestrøm in sixth place on 26 points, and could see themselves in second spot in the coming weeks if they continue winning.
Akor Adams on the radar of other European clubs
The leading goalscorer of the Eliteserien has attracted interests from various clubs in Europe following his stunning second season in Norway.
Akor Adams has continued to bang in the goals for Lillestrøm who have now surged forward from being a mid-table team, to challenging for a top-two finish in the league.
According to reports, Kelechi Iheanacho's Leicester City are currently scouting the striker who has become a hot prospect for various clubs in Europe.
Leicester only becomes yet another club who's interested in the player touted as the new Orban by Norwegian football media.
Transfer activity could be on the horizon for the Nigerian who has also been reported in June of being on the radar of FC Nantes, Club Brugge and Union Saint-Gilloise.
As the days go by, Adams still has 18 months left on his contract with Lillestrøm and reports indicate that a sizable sum of €3 million will be demanded from interested parties.
For now, Akor Adams is focused on delivering the goods for Lillestrøm, enjoying the moment and fighting to scale Lillestrøm above sixth position in the league.
What is certain is that Adams won't remain long at the Årasen Stadion, as transfer away from his current club appears only a matter of time.
