‘Almighty’ Brazil Struggle to Draw 1-1 With Super Eagles

Brazil Draw 1-1 Super Eagles

Brazil came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly played in Singapore.

The Super Eagles were lifted by a first-half goal during the 34th minute courtesy of the individual brilliance of Joe Aribo, who ran through the heart of the Brazil defence after he was teed off by Moses Simon.

It was his second goal for Nigeria after he also scored on his debut against Ukraine last month.

The five-time world champions were further unsettled following the forced exit of Neymar no thanks to a hamstring injury after just 11 minutes.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was then forced out of the game in the 61st minute as a result of injury after Brazil drew level through a scrambled effort by Casemiro.

The equalizer settled the South Americans nerves as they piled the pressure on Gernot Rohr's men for the equalizing goal, but the Eagles held out to earn a credible result against a team ranked No. 3 in the world by FIFA.
