Amunike Advises Ajayi After West Brom Relegation

Former Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Amunike has advised Semi Ajayi to be proactive in his next move after West Brom was relegated from the Premier League.

Sunday’s defeat, the 19th in the league this season, meant the Baggies would be going back to play in the Championship next season after just one year in the elite division.

In a chat with, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist stated that Ajayi must make a quick decision on his West Brom future to help his chances of nailing a shirt in the Super Eagles ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations.

“It saddens my heart to know that Semi Ajayi’s West Brom has been relegated from the Premier League, Amunike said.

“For me, Ajayi is a good player who has been consistent with the Baggies since their first game in the league.

“At this point, there is a need for him to make a decision on his West Brom’s future in order to brighten his chances of playing in the Super Eagles ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and 2022 AFCON, he added.
