Gunners Have Made A £27 Million Offer For Real Madrid Winger, Need To Add £9 Million

Arsenal Offer Lucas Vazquez

Arsenal have presented a £27 million offer for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, but Los Blancos are holding out for £36 million, that’s according to Defensa Central.

Manager Unai Emery wants to add a quality winger to his attacking ranks this summer, and he believes the Champions League and La Liga winner will be a ideal fit.

However, cash-strapped Gunners might not be able to meet the La Liga outfit’s asking price for Vazquez, and Inter Milan could beat them to his signature with new manager Antoni Conte also very much keen on his services.

The Spain international isn’t in manager Zinedine Zidane first XI and isn’t guaranteed of regular football next term.

The Spaniard will be a starter at the Emirates given his quality, and the passion to make his country’s Euros 2020 squad could see him demand to depart the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The arrivals of Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard mean Vazquez will strive for regular playing minutes, and an exit is almost a surety.

The chance to play in the English top-flight will undoubtedly excite the 27-year-old, but a move to Arsenal could fall through if Inter or other suitors are able to beat them to his signature by meeting Real’s demand.

Adding the winger to the Gunners attack will be a huge boost for their campaign next season, though.
