Arsenal expected XI vs Rennes: Lacazette, Torreira To Start, Ramsey Benched

Arsenal expected XI vs Rennes

Unai Emery is likely to stick with the same formation which served him so well against Manchester United when they meet Rennes at the Emirates on Thursday night.

Arsenal were in fine form at the weekend as they beat United 2-0, with Emery setting his team up in a 3-4-1-2 system.

The Gunners look to overturn a 3-1 deficit following defeat in northwest France last week.

Emery is expected to make some changes to his personnel, with Lucas Torreira expected to return to the starting XI having missed out against United due to suspension.

It could be that the Uruguayan comes in and replaces Aaron Ramsey alongside Granit Xhaka in the heart of midfielder, despite the Wales international picking up the man of the match award at the weekend.

One change that Emery will definitely make on Thursday night is in defence, with Sokratis unavailable due to suspension.

The Greek centreback is expected to replaced by Shkodran Mustafi.

As has been the way all season in the Europa League, there will be a change in goal – with Petr Cech coming in for Bernd Leno.

Arsenal expected XI vs Rennes: Cech, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette.
