Alex Iwobi scores Everton’s third goal during the Carabao Cup Second Round match between Lincoln City and Everton at Sincil Bank Stadium on August 28, 2019, in Lincoln, England.

Arsenal fans have generally suggested that they weren’t particularly impressed by the Nigerian’s full debut for Everton last night.

Everton beat Lincoln City 4-2 yesterday, with Iwobi scoring on his first start since leaving Arsenal.

Iwobi headed home from close range, as the Toffees progressed to the third round of the competition.

But the reaction of Arsenal fans to Iwobi’s display was not a positive one.

Despite some Arsenal fans’ scepticism about Iwobi’s first full display, the Everton new boy showed plenty of optimism.

Iwobi looked one of Everton’s brightest attacking threats and even though he was up against lower league opponents there were times when his quality shone through.

It is expected that Iwobi could have a key role to play for Marco Silva’s side, who have experienced a mixed start to the season so far.
