Arsenal have begun considering a late summer move for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.
Unai Emery has already moved to strengthen his backline since arriving at the Emirates Stadium, but it appears that the new Gunners boss is yet to be convinced by his current lineup.
According to The Sun, the Spaniard has picked an interest in versatile defender Vida, who has just represented Croatia at this year’s World Cup.
However, the Gunners must sell before they can sign any new players during the closing days of the summer window, and Emery may possibly look to part ways with either Shkodran Mustafi or Danny Welbeck.
Vida only linked up with Besiktas in January, but the Turkish giants are allegedly prepared to cash in on the player should they receive a sizeable offer during August.
Liverpool have earlier been linked with the 29-year-old, while there have been suggestions that Wolverhampton Wanderers could be all set to meet Besiktas's asking price.
