Arsenal have offered to extend Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract amid reported interest in the Gabon international.
According to a report in Spain a week ago, Paris Saint-Germain were ‘negotiating an agreement’ with Arsenal in an attempt to sign Aubameyang for around €38million.
Speculation over Aubameyang’s future has ramped up in recent months, with the 30-year-old approaching the final year of his contract at The Emirates.
Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been previously linked with a move but French champions PSG have also emerged as contenders in recent weeks.
However, a L’Equipe now claims that the Gunners have ‘offered Aubameyang a contract extension’.
The 30-year-old’s next contract is likely to be his last big deal before retirement and, with his scoring record, clubs will be queuing up to sign him on a free from next summer.
