Dele Alli has played just 45 minutes of Premier League football this season and was left out of Tottenham squad for the victory over Southampton and the draw with Newcastle.
And now former Spurs and England striker Darren Bent has called on Arsenal to sign the out-of-favour Spurs star.
Speculation of a rift with Jose Mourinho has seen the 24-year-old midfielder linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, though the Spurs boss has said Alli will stay in north London.
Nonetheless, Bent insists Alli should take on a “fresh challenge” as he looks to rejuvenate his career.
The 36-year-old told talkSPORT: “He’s been at Tottenham for a while now and I think maybe he’s a product of a process where he’s been at Spurs.
“I think any player comes a point where they need a fresh challenge.
“I think for Dele Alli, Mourinho has come in, they’ve clashed, and I think he’s thinking, ‘I need a new challenge here’.’’
Boyhood Arsenal fan Bent was also asked if he would like to see Alli move to the Emirates.
He responded: “100 per cent – I wouldn’t even hesitate.”
