Arsenal’s Transfer Budget To Be Boosted By Europa League Final Victory

11 Arsenal Players Who May Have Bid The Emirates Stadium Goodbye

Arsenal’s transfer budget this summer may possibly be increased by £25million if they thrash their London rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final on May 29.

The Gunners missed out on Champions League football for next season but Arsenal could yet still play in next season’s illustrious competition – by winning the Europa League.

However, Arsenal also have the added incentive that winning the Europa League would swell their tiny transfer budget.

It’s been reported that the Gunners only have around £40m to play with ahead of an important summer for Unai Emery.

But a European glory against the Blues could increase that number to just under £70m.

Arsenal have interest in signing Lille winger Nicolas Pepe this summer but it was originally thought the Ivorian would be too costly for them at £65m.

But with their added Europa League bonus, their plans to sign Ligue 1’s second top scorer could align perfectly.

The Gooners can be hopeful for the fact that Emery has won the Europa League three times before as a manager with Sevilla between 2013/14 and 2015/16.
