Aspiring Besiktas President Ahmet Nur Cebi Set To Sign Iheanacho

Iheanacho’s Lack Of Confidence

Kelechi Iheanacho is now a January target for Turkish champions Besiktas if only aspiring club president, Ahmet Nur Cebi wins the election.

A Turkish news media outlet Fotospor reports that a close ally to the aspirant Erdal Torunogullari has revealed he has spoken to Iheanacho’s representative regarding the move.

And it is understood that Iheanacho could be sealing an 18-month loan deal if negotiations pull through.

The Super Eagles striker is yet to make an appearance for Leicester City in the Premier League this season under Brendan Rodgers.

The 23-year-old could only manage 16 appearances from 84 matches since joining the King Power outfit from Manchester City in 2017.

Iheanacho has been frozen out of the national team after failing to find a place in Brendan Rodgers' side.

This caused Iheanacho missing out in Gernot Rohr’s 23-man’s squad to AFCON 2019 last summer.

The Leicester City striker also missed Nigeria’s recent friendlies against Ukraine and Brazil as the likes of Peter Olayinka, Bonaventure Dennis and Victor Osimhen were preferred.
