Babangida Extols Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr

Ex Nigeria International, Tijjani Babangida is singing songs of praise the Super Eagles' current handler, Gernot Rohr who he says has taken Nigeria close to the level the country used to enjoy in global soccer.

Although the former Super Eagles winger admitted there is still more work to be done by Rohr and the players, he declared in a phone conversation with GoalBall that he is happy with the Franco-German gaffer's scorecard so far.

‘TJ', as he is fondly called, stated further that there are many positives to take from Rohr's handling of the Eagles, who he sees as just a click away from high-level Nigeria used to enjoy in world football.

Babangida noted: “I believe that the Super Eagles' recent results speak volume of what the team can do with Gernot Rohr in charge.

“He is doing a good job so far, but he must not relax. I just hope that the Nations Cup will be a good ground for the team to announce themselves to the world once again.”
