Whoever wants Antoine Griezmann or Philippe Coutinho will have to dig deep into their pockets, despite the fact it seemed like both were on the way out,
Barcelona have changed their mind and now want the duo will remain at the club for the 2021-22 season, according to ‘Mundo Deportivo’.
The reports claim that the pre-season has done Griezmann and Coutinho well.
Both have been switched on and Ronald Koeman values that a lot.
The Barca coach thinks that both Griezmann and Coutinho can offer the team a lot ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The priority right now at Barca is to reduce the wage bill to be able to sign Leo Messi.
Griezmann and Coutinho have two of the highest salaries in the squad.
However, Koeman is clear: either a big offer comes in or both will stay.
“We knew that Barca’s pre-season would be key. Right now, Barca are in Germany. The board are also there and they are in talks with the coaching staff. Many footballers are playing for their futures. “
