Mohamed Salah has been wished a speedy recovery by Barcelona after suffering concussion against Newcastle.
The Egyptian got into a head collision with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka during the Reds’ 3-2 win on Saturday and had to be stretchered off the pitch after receiving treatment for some minutes.
Jurgen Klopp has however officially ruled him out of the Champions League semi-final second-leg in his press conference ahead of the game, saying: ‘‘It’s concussion so he wouldn’t be allowed to play. We cannot do it.’’
The news is a major blow to the Reds as they look to topple a 3-0 deficit from the first leg.
Following Klopp’s press conference, Liverpool tweeted the news that Salah would not be available.
In response, Barca replied: ‘’Games like these are for world-class players. Get well soon!’’
