Philippe Coutinho Decision

Barcelona have no intention of selling Philippe Coutinho to Manchester United despite the mounting speculation, that's according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

Balague is certain the Catalan club do not want to offload the Brazilian.

Barca signed Coutinho for £142m last January, but he hasn't lived up to expectations.

Rumours had circulated that Manchester United were increasingly looking like the Brazilian's next destination.

Balague has quashed the idea that Coutinho could end up anywhere but the Nou Camp next season.

The 26-year-old had been a talked up as a major United target, but it appears Barcelona won't sell.

“There have been meetings with the representatives and Barcelona have come to the conclusion that moving forward he's very important to the side.

“Now have Barcelona said that because it's an important part of the season and they want to see the best possible Coutinho? I don't know.
