Lionel Messi has reportedly resumed training with Barcelona and the Nou Camp outfit have concluded plans to appease the captain.
The Catalans have agreed a fee with Lyon to sign Memphis Depay.
Depay could be a replacement for Luis Suarez, who has been linked with a move to Juventus.
The Netherlands striker has revived his career since joining Lyon for £15million from Manchester United in January 2017.
Now, he is a target for Barcelona, who are bossed by his former Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman.
Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia claim Lyon have accepted a £22m (€25m) bid from Lyon for Depay.
He scored 15 goals in all competitions as Lyon impressively made it to the Champions League semi-finals last season.
Lyon boss Rudi Garcia has insisted he will not attempt to block Depay’s transfer to Barcelona.
Depay started the new 2020/21 campaign in prolific fashion when he netted a hat-trick in Lyon’s opening day 4-1 win over Dijon.
Hope fully this kind of signing will keep Messi’s nerves down.
