Highly-rated Arsenal right-back Bukayo Saka is expected to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria in the coming days according to eggheads of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
According to Sportinglife.ng, the Amaju Pinnick led-board has already commenced moves, towards convincing the Arsenal star to opt for Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of England’s Three Lions.
NFF’s scribe Dr Mohammed Sanusi told Sportinglife.ng in Abuja that Nigerians should not be afraid with regards to getting the 18-year-old winger to play for his country of origin – Nigeria.
“Yes, Saka has played for the under-aged teams in England. But there are ways to sort out his eligibility. These can’t be an impediment to getting Saka to play for Nigeria.
“This can be sorted out by the Federation and the NFF President is personally handling the matter.
“I want to tell you that the President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick is working assiduously to make sure he brings Bukayo Saka to play for Nigeria,” Sanusi was quoted as saying to Sportinglife.ng in Abuja.
