Will Lukaku surpass expectations in Chelsea’s number 9 shirt?

Chelsea has secured the services of the impressive Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku as they’ve set their aspirations straight up for a successful season.

It’s not been easy for the clubs in their quest to make the signing as Italian side Inter Milan was reluctant to let go of their star forward.

However, after much transfer talks and rumours, Lukaku has signed the dotted line at Chelsea.

It was the player’s keen interest to return to the club, which he supported as a kid, while the lure of playing for European Champions Chelsea was very enticing to resist.

However, the quest is will Lukaku’s move to Stamford Bridge be a success story as he gets set to wear the number 9 jersey at Chelsea for sure?

Such question shows the kind of interest that has accompanied his move to London as the player is set for the challenges ahead of him in the Blue shirt.

It promises to be an interesting feat to look forward to as the season progresses for Chelsea and with Lukaku staying put at the forefront for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side.

Tammy Abraham’s move to AS Roma in Italy have made the Number 9 shirt available at the club. But it’s left to be seen if Romelu Lukaku will thrive in that Jersey.

It’s been stated that most players who’ve worn that shirt number have been underwhelming in terms of their performance at Chelsea football club.

But it looks like Lukaku will make a fresh statement on wearing that same number 9 Jersey.

Everything seems to be going on well following his arrival especially as he gets set to begin a new adventure with the exemplary Thomas Tuchel within the Chelsea group.

His relationship with the German tactician would be helpful to him on a personal level just as he enjoyed a good working relationship with (Antonio) Conte at Inter Milan.

If all things be equal, Lukaku is expected to impress for real even as his side get set for the London derby with Arsenal on Sunday.

He’s a good signing for sure as the fans would soon find out from the big Belgian, following the upgrade he has made over the years as a professional player.
