Nigeria's Super Falcons on Monday afternoon continued with their preparations for the 2019 World Cup but lost 2-1 against Canada in a friendly match played at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.
Nigeria had a glorious chance to score in the 23rd minute through Rita Chikwelu, but her shot was saved by Canadian goalkeeper McLeod.

Guingamp striker Desire Oparanozie gave Falcons the lead in the 26th minute after receiving an excellent pass from Uchenna Kanu as she dribbled a defender before scoring.
Canada tried all they could to restore parity before the end of the first half, but they were unable to find the back of the net.
The Canadian ladies changed their style of play in the second half, and it took them only three minutes to level up through Beckie Janine.
Five minutes later, Canada scored their second goal via an excellent header by Schmidt as Nigeria goalie Oluehi failed to make a save.

The encounter eventually ended 2-1 in favour of Canada as Super Falcons bowed narrowly to Canada.
