Celta Vigo are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru who currently plays for French club Monaco.
The Spanish La Liga side have not been impressive this season in all competitions and they are currently occupying 18th position on the standings with 9 points after 13 games.
The report on Hurriyet claim that Celta Vigo chiefs are ready to go for the signing of the Super Eagles striker when the January transfer window opens.
They see Onyekuru as a player who can help them get goals to avoid relegation this season.
But it is not certain if Monaco would want to lose the player they recently bought only if Celta Vigo can meet their asking price.
Recently, two clubs in Russia – CSKA and Lokomotiv Moscow, were reported to be interested in signing Onyekuru in which Monaco refused to do business with any.
Henry Onyekuru was among the Super Eagles players who won bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He was also among the Super Eagles stars who played against Benin and Lesotho in 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
