Chelsea officials Arrive Milan for Pepe Reina deal

Chelsea have intensified interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina by sending a delegation to the Italian capital in the hope of reaching a deal.

Reina, who has previously spent close to10 years in English football with Liverpool, only joined the Rossoneri at the beginning of July following the expiration of his Napoli deal.

That has not stopped gossips swelling that the Spain international may possibly be on his way back to the Premier League, however, and Tuttosport says that a £5m offer has now been lodged.

Notwithstanding bringing in veteran goalkeeper Rob Green to present competition for next season, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be eager to reunite with Reina, having worked with the 35-year-old for three seasons at Napoli.

The same report claims that Milan will mull over the Blues' offer, with a healthy profit to be made if they cash in.
