Chelsea Reveal Plan To Replace Real Madrid Target Eden Hazard

Real Madrid target

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to offset Spanish giants Real Madrid target Eden Hazard by offering one of their up-and-coming stars a new contract and the Belgian’s favourite position.

Should the 28-year-old leave Chelsea, his departure will leave a huge hole in the team.

But the Blues are said to be already taking measures to offset his seemingly impending exit.

The Telegraph claim Chelsea chiefs will offer their wantaway midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi a new bumper deal.

And should Hudson-Odoi accept a new contract, he will then take the Belgium international’s favoured position on the left wing.

Chelsea new-boy Christian Pulisic – who is currently on loan with Borussia Dortmund – was expected to be drafted in as Hazard replacement.

But if Hudson-Odoi ends up replacing Chelsea’s talisman, Pulisic will begin his Blues career playing on the right of Chelsea’s attack.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can retain the services of Hudson-Odoi who is still a target for German champions Bayern Munich, who tabled four bids for him last January.

The youngster’s breakthrough season ended prematurely on Monday night when he ruptured his Achilles.

The 18-year-old underwent successful surgery on Tuesday night and sent a message to Chelsea fans on Twitter.

“Thank you for all the messages and the support you’ve been sending me, I really appreciate it,’ the winger said via a video message on Wednesday.
