Chelsea star Tammy Abraham may just be who the club needs to bring the asking price for Erling Haaland down this summer.
The Blues, however, face a battle to secure the Borussia Dortmund hotshot services with most of Europe’s elite clubs also chasing his signature.
It has put the German club in a position of strength, slapping a huge asking price of over £140m and insisting they are under no pressure to sell this summer.
But the Blues have an ace up their sleeves in the form of Abraham, who has fallen down the pecking order since Tuchel arrived.
Swap deals could be more prevalent this summer as clubs still reel from the Covid pandemic and the England international has been valued at £40m while Chelsea are happy to sell as they eye Haaland.
It would, therefore, make sense to include Abraham as part of the deal to bring the Norway international to Stamford Bridge with the trade-off that the asking price come down to around £100m.
