Los Blancos have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2020, over the past couple of transfer windows.

Now it's reported that they will show their intent to bring the Belgian to the Bernabeu this summer by lodging an opening offer.
It's expected that Chelsea, who are not allowed to sign players until the summer of 2020 due to a FIFA ban, will reject the offer as they desperately try and keep hold of their biggest asset.
