Chidozie Awaziem Loan Leganes

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has completed a switch to La Liga side CD Leganes from FC Porto.

According to a report on the Spanish outfit official website, the 22-year-old Nigerian international, who was a member of the Super Eagles squad to 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, will join the club on a season-long loan during the 2019-20 campaign.

“Awaziem is a right-handed centre that can adapt to the lateral position. Large and fast, he has a good aerial game and ball movement.

“He was recruited by Porto in the 2014/15 season from the El-Kanemi Warriors Academy in Nigeria,” the report read in part.

Awaziem has been handed the No 12 but will be unveiled at a later date.

The Nigerian international is expected to commence training immediately with the Mauricio Pellegrino's tutored-side.
