Coronavirus: Don’t Bow To Pressure To Commence The Nigeria League – Adepoju

Former Nigerian midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju has advised the League Management Company (LMC) to keep the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) under suspension amid the increase rate of the coronavirus in the country.

He made this known in a chat with Goalball, where he stated that the LMC should not bow to pressure in a bid to continue the league.

Recall that the NPFL has been suspended since last month after the outbreak of the deadly virus in Nigeria.

“I don’t think it will be wise for the League Management Company (LMC) to bow to any form of pressure in a bid to commence the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) going by the continuous spread of the coronavirus in the country,” Adepoju told Goalballlive.com

“Whether the league should be played behind closed-door or not, I personally believe we only ant to endanger the lives of our players in the league.”
