Manager Zinedine Zidane has given updates on Cristiano Ronaldo Injury, he says C. Ronaldo will be in top form to face Liverpool in the Champions League final later this month even though he picked up an injury on Sunday.
The Real Madrid star scored in the first-half of his side’s 2-2 draw against Barcelona at Camp Nou, but was injured in the process.
The Portugal international was substituted by Zidane at half-time, with Marcos Asensio coming on for Madrid and playing a role in the Clasico draw.
The Reds are ready to face the Spanish giants in the Champions League final in Kiev in late May and taking on the reigning champions without Ronaldo would be a big boost for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
However, Zidane has stated that Liverpool are likely to see the current Ballon d’Or holder in the Madrid side, with the ankle injury only a minor ailment.
“He’s not great right now but I think it’s going to be a small thing, it was only a bad movement.
“I can’t say how long he’ll be out for, tomorrow he’ll have a scan, but I think it’ll be a small thing for him.
“He seemed to think it wasn’t much. It’s not a worry for the Champions League final…we’re all going to be there,” Sky Sports quote the Frenchman as saying.
