Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has hinted that the Juventus superstar could retire in Turin.
The Portuguese star has previously admitted he is coming to the end of his career.
The 34-year-old joined Juventus in the summer of 2018 and is contracted until 2022, which will keep him at the club until he is 37.
A recently reported spat with Maurizio Sarri led to speculation over Ronaldo’s future at Juve but Jorge Mendes has suggested it could be the final club of his glittering career.
“Yes, he could do that. He has signed a contract,” Mendes said when asked if Ronaldo would retire at Juve.
“He is happy at Juventus, working under a great coach.”
Mendes went on to criticise the decision not to award Ronaldo the Ballon d’Or with Lionel Messi pipping the Argentine to the prestigious prize.
He added: “Cristiano deserved to win it at least once over the last two years. If he had still been playing for Real Madrid, he would’ve won the Ballon d’Or.
“He can win it next year. I can only say what I think, and for me, it’s an injustice. Cristiano is only thinking about working and winning it next year.
“Ronaldo has changed the history of football; he has made a small country like Portugal great. There are no comparisons, Cristiano is the best.”
