Ogenyi Onazi transfer to newly-promoted Serie A club FC Crotone is yet to be officially announced because they are yet to get the Nigerian to sign an agreement to pay him based mainly on his performance.
The media have already reported that the former Lazio star has undergone a routine medical ahead of penning a three-year contract as a free agent after he terminated his contract with Turkish club Denizlispor.
Onazi’s camp say they prefer being given a normal contract with a monthly salary and win bonuses.
However, it is believed that Crotone are weary of Onazi’s recent battle with injuries.
The 27-year-old was hit by a long-term injury which kept him out for most of last year at Trabzonspor, who released soon after he had recovered.
Onazi completed the rest of the part season at Denizlispor before he walked out on them over unpaid salaries.
