Daniel Levy Dumps Gattuso As Next Tottenham Manager

Tottenham Spurs' search for a new manager took an unexpected twist on Thursday afternoon when it was revealed that Paulo Fonseca had dropped out of the race to replace Jose Mourinho.

Interestingly, a new name entered the equation almost immediately after the Fonseca news was broken and it was that of former AC Milan and Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso.

Having just become available after leaving his post after 23 days in charge of Fiorentina, Gattuso's sudden availability had led Spurs to change their mind at the very last moment.

Although, the reaction from Spurs fans on social media was one of bewilderment instead of excitement.

Furthermore, ‘#NotGattuso' had been trending on Twitter which was a clear indication that the majority of supporters did not want the Italian appointed.
