De Bruyne Released From Hospital With Fractured Nose, Eye Socket

Kevin De Bruyne has left the hospital with a fractured nose and eye socket following his clash of heads with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger in the Champions League final.

The 29-year-old was in tears as he had to be replaced by Gabriel Jesus in the 60th minute of the game in Porto.

De Bruyne was unable to contribute in the closing stages as Chelsea prevailed with a 1-0 victory courtesy of Kai Havertz's goal just before half time.

The Manchester City star wrote on Twitter: ‘Hi guys just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is Acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back'.

City posted a message on their official Twitter account to wish De Bruyne a speedy recovery.

The Belgium international was left with a black eye following the clash of heads and required lengthy treatment on the pitch before he was eventually substituted.
