Eden Hazard has been offered back to Chelsea by Real Madrid, but a transfer to Stamford Bridge may be complicated due to various reasons.
Over two seasons at the club, the 30-year-old has made just 43 appearances, scoring five goals, four of which came in the last season.
Real Madrid will want to sell the Belgian winger for at least €60m, believing that the €100m transfer fee paid over a five-year contract amortizes to €20m each summer and with three years left on his deal, a €60m asking fee seems fair to recover their losses.
The Spanish giants, know, however, that it’s a difficult deal to complete as there would be few willing to match that fee and pick up a player troubled with injury problems.
Additionally, it requires a significant wage decrease from Hazard as he earns more at Real Madrid than he did when he was playing at Chelsea.
It was reported that President Florentino Perez told club officials not to expect any more signings this season having lost Sergio Ramos and with Raphael Varane on his way out too.
Hazard, too, could go, and he hasn’t made the best impression at Real Madrid.
