The duo of Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi have been excused from the Super Eagles camp following Eid Fitr 2019 dates.

When is Eid Fitr 2019 you might ask? The Eid al-Fitr 2019 in Nigeria will begin on the evening of Tuesday, 4 June and ends on the evening of Thursday, 6 June. Please note that these dates may vary from country to country.

For that reason, Musa and Abdullahi will now join on Wednesday after the Muslim Sallah celebrations.

But already, the Super Eagles camp has opened in Asaba on Sunday ahead of the AFCON in Egypt with skipper Mikel Obi, Leon Balogun, Moses Simon and Jamilu Collins among the early birds.

Honeymooning Wilfred Ndidi and Kenneth Omeruo are due to arrive on Monday, along with five other call-ups, officials said.

The team will train twice on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Nigeria host fellow 2019 AFCON qualifiers Zimbabwe in a warm-up game in Asaba, before flying out to Egypt the next day.
