Ekong Departs S’Eagles Camp Ahead Of Second Friendly

The assistant captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, William Troost-Ekong has left the team’s training camp in Vienna, Austria.

Ekong made the move so as to have further checks on the injury that has ruled him out of tomorrow’s rematch against Cameroon.

Spokesman of the Super Eagles announced Ekong’s departure, while also disclosing that Ujpest FC of Hungary midfielder Vincent Onovo has joined up with the squad in Austria.

Nigeria will take on the Indomitable Lions in a second friendly tomorrow night after Cameroon won the first clash 1-0 Friday night.

Both teams are using the matches to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, which resume in September.
