The Gunners are in dire need of a centre-back or two this summer. There is no getting away from that fact.
The current options Unai Emery have are either far from reliable, have troubles with injuries or are just simply getting too old to be a regular member of the first-team in the Premier League.

Everton’s Michael Keane might just be the ideal candidate to help the Gunners become even stronger and better at the back.
According to Football Insider, they claimed earlier in the month that Arsenal (and Tottenham Hotspur) were interested in the centre-back and that Emery was a ‘big admirer’ of the England international.
The 26-year-old would be perfect for the Spaniard to try and build his team around over the long-term future as the former Burnley defender has shown that he can play at the top level.
His stats within the Premier League this season make those suggestions further evident, as he is just behind Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk when it comes down to tackles, aerial duels and clearances per game according to The Daily Cannon.
Emery and Arsenal must do all they can to bring Keane to the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming transfer window.
