Reports say that the England vs Panama match at the World Cup finals which ended 6-1 in favor of the Three Lions attracted a larger television viewership share than last month's Royal Wedding, that's according to SportsMole.
According to figures from the BBC, the Group G game drew an 82.9% peak share of the TV audience while the Royal Wedding achieved a 70% peak share.
For comparison, England’s victory over Wales at Euro 2016 achieved 73% in the UK and 79% in Wales.
Although the England match attracted 14.1m viewers and a further 2.8m on-demand requests, it did not beat the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony's peak share of 89%.
The victory over Panama has guaranteed England's place in the round of 16 of the World Cup finals.
