Super Eagles midfield Oghenekaro Etebo has successfully undergone surgery after rupturing his thigh muscle while on duty for newly promoted club Watford.
And after successful surgery on Tuesday Etebo wrote on his Instagram page with a picture on his hospital bed:
”Had a successful surgery yesterday and thanks to everyone for the love message. See you soon.”
Watford had earlier revealed that Etebo could be out of action for the remainder of 2021.
The Stoke City star, who is on loan to Watford, has made six appearances in the Premier League this season.
Etebo’s last outing for the Super Eagles was in the 2-0 home win against Liberia, in September.
He is set to miss out on the Super Eagles World Cup qualifiers clash with the Central African Republic on Thursday.
