Etebo Joins Watford On Loan Deal From Stoke City

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has signed a season-long loan deal with Watford.

According to Athletic’s Adam Leventhal, the official announcement will come after he has passed his medicals.

The same report claim the Premier League returnees have an option to buy the defensive midfielder.

Etebo, who was signed to Stoke City in July 2018 for €7.2m, played two seasons at the Potters, after which he was sent out on loan.

He spent a year at Getafe, and last year he was at Turkish giants, Galatasaray.

The former Under-23 champion becomes the second Nigerian signed with Xisco Munoz at the helm of affairs after Emmanuel Dennis.

Etebo’s arrival means the number of Nigerian contingents at Vicarage Road is now five: William Troost-Ekong, Isaac Success, Emmanuel Dennis, and Tom Dele-Bashiru.
