Rafael Benitez has secured his first win as Everton’s manager as his side came from behind to beat Southampton 3-1.

Southampton’s new signing Adam Armstrong opened the scoring on his Saints debut before three second-half goals settled the match in Everton’s favour.

Olympic Gold medal winner Richarlison levelled two minutes after the restart before Nigeria International Alex Iwobi, who came on as a 70th-minute substitute for Andres Towsend, gave a header assist that Abdoulaye Doucoure utilized to secure his side’s second goal.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted the last goal for the Toffees to secure all three points.
