Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph has advised the Super Eagles not to underrate Sudan and Guinea-Bissau in Group D of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that on Tuesday, Nigeria was pitted alongside seven-time AFCON champions, Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.
They will face the Pharaohs in the opening group fixtures, a game that could determine who tops the group.
However, with less focus on Sudan and Guinea-Bissau, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist told Goalballlive that it will be dangerous for the Super Eagles to ignore the threat posed by these two teams.
“I think the Super Eagles are in a very tricky group considering the fact that Sudan and Guinea-Bissau may pose as a spoiler in the group.
No doubt, attention will focus on Nigeria and Egypt due to their history in the competition, however, it will unfair to see Sudan and Guinea-Bissau as whipping teams in the group.”
