Former Nigerian midfielder, Henry Nwosu has advised Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, and his players not to underestimate the Central Africa Republic (CAR) in next month's 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria are currently top of Group C on six points after defeating Liberia 2-0 and Cape Verde 2-1 respectively. While CAR sit bottom on one point.
In a chat with Goalballlive, the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations winner said that the team must handle CAR like every other good team.
“It will be a disaster if the Super Eagles decide to underrate the Central Africa Republic in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
“Yes, we have defeated teams like Liberia and Cape Verde, however, they must be maintain the same level of focus to overcome CAR.
“I am very optimistic that Nigeria will top the group at the end of the qualifying campaign, but then, they must do the needful to avoid any form of upset. We are in total control of the group and I CAR can't stop us.”
