Former Nigerian midfielder, Emmanuel Amuneke says he's delighted to see Super Eagles star, Samuel Chukwueze make a stunning return to Villarreal.
Chukwueze, who recently returned from injury that kept him out of action for five months scored the last goal as Villarreal secured a 4-1 away victory over Young Boys FC.
The 2015 FIFA under 17 world cup winner took the place of Arnaut Danjuma on the 89th minute and he scored with his first touch into his Champions League debut.
Reacting to Chukwueze's goal scoring return, the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner, told Goalballlive that the goal will help the Nigerian international regain his confidence back to the team.
“It's a delight to see Samuel Chukwueze score a goal for Villarreal after five months of not playing football due to injury. The goal simply showed his hunger and determination to make a return back to the team.
“he's a quality player and I know his return will definitely gladdens the heart of the Villarreal coach. He has missed for most part of the game last season and now they have him back.”
