Exposed! Why Unai Emery Will Not Sign Denis Suarez Permanently

Denis Suarez

Arsenal has no plans whatsoever to sign Denis Suarez on a permanent deal from Barcelona and are targeting alternative transfers for the summer, according to reports.

The Gunners have the option to buy the 25-year-old for £18 million when his loan deal finished at the end of the season.

The Sun claim that Emery believes Denis Suarez has been unable to cope with the physicality of the Premier League and is already looking at other options in the transfer market.

Four weeks after Arsenal signed Suarez, Emery admitted that the midfielder was still unable to complete 90 minutes and refused to give assurances that the midfielder will be permanently signed in the summer.

Emery has maintained his interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Christopher Nkunku and is ready to make a new move in the summer.

Arsenal attempted to sign Nkunku on loan in January but were unable to reach an agreement with PSG.

The Gunners have also reportedly opened transfer talks with Rennes to sign Ismaila Sarr.

The 21-year-old winger has been one of the French club's star performers this season with 10 goals and eight assists so far.

Sarr was identified as a potential target by Sven Mislintat, who left as Arsenal's head of recruitment last month.
