Tottenham have appointed Fabio Paratici as their new football director, with Spurs confirming the news on Saturday afternoon.
“The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Fabio Paratici as Managing Director, Football, with effect from 1 July 2021,” read a club statement.
“Fabio will be responsible for managing and developing the Club’s sporting operations at the Club, facilities and footballing infrastructure.”
The move is viewed as evidence that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is stepping back from his hands on roll with the senior team, as he offered up these comments following Paratici's appointment.
“I've known Fabio for a number of years and he brings with him a wealth of experience in scouting, youth and football operations,” he said.
Former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is in talks with Spurs over taking over as manager, with Paratici's arrival suggesting change is in the air at the north London club.
